Inclusive Reading for Every Reader

AuthZ's commitment to an accessible reading experience and how to report an accessibility barrier.

AuthZ believes every reader deserves a clear, useful, and barrier-free experience. We are committed to improving this website for people with disabilities and for readers using a wide range of devices, settings, and assistive technologies.

Our commitment

We aim to make AuthZ conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing editorial and technical practice, and we review the site’s content, design, and functionality as it evolves.

Our approach includes:

  • Using semantic HTML, landmarks, headings, and descriptive links to support assistive technologies.
  • Supporting keyboard navigation and providing visible focus indicators.
  • Designing text and interactive elements for readable contrast in both light and dark colour schemes.
  • Using flexible layouts that support text resizing, zoom, and different viewport sizes.
  • Respecting reduced-motion preferences where motion is present.
  • Providing alternative text for meaningful images and hiding decorative images from assistive technologies.
  • Combining automated checks with manual review to identify accessibility barriers.

Current status

AuthZ is being rebuilt and has not yet completed an independent accessibility conformance audit. Some barriers may remain, particularly in migrated content. Stating our Level AA goal is not a claim that every page currently conforms.

Accessibility feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have difficulty using any part of the site, please use our Contact page to let us know. Include the page address and a brief description of the problem. If useful, you may also identify the browser, device, or assistive technology involved.

We will review accessibility reports as part of the site’s ongoing editorial and technical maintenance.
